| 01/07/2004 --- The 4423 finally made it today. It seems to be in remarkably good shape and the esteemed Henry Luna enjoyed his ride. He now knows why SD9s were called "Cadillacs" on the S.P. When it was put to bed on the OTR service track, I put a battery charger on it in hopes that the batteries will come to life. They did all show fluid in the cells and were in very nice condition. It was reported to us by Omnitrax that there is a problem with "the reverser". A visual inspection of the electrical cabinet did not reveal any physical defect so I hope to find out what is the matter with it within a couple of weekends. --- Howard Click on any thumbnail
